Good thing they'll be able to bribe their way into a light sentence, eh?

Schools that seek profit cannot be trusted to take education seriously because their main priority will always be money.

Considering this is white collar crime expect them to get a slap on the wrist.

As a current college student that was waitlisted to some of these schools, this story is super validating.

Universities only accept the very best and brightest, if a parent's bribery check doesn't clear.

Keep thinking about William H. Macy endlessly bragging about his daughter's college admission tour on Colbert just three months ago.

Not surprised. There are a different set of rules for the elite rich and pay check to pay check Americans.

Did we really think all celebrities had genius kids?

It isn't only celebrities people. It's any rich person. It's even average middle class people. I went to medical school and nearly all the kids there are legacies or were accepted after their parents made a big donation. Thousands of applicants apply for under a hundred spots and the schools are there to make money....so obviously this happens. The US is a caste system and the old adage of the American Dream is just a fantasy to keep the poor in line. It's a shame...but the truth.

These children have had the best food, best schools, best clothes, best vacations, best tutors money can buy and still couldn't make it to college. I never ever want to hear about affirmative action being unfair again.
